SHACKIT PRESENTS

‘Shackit Presents’ is a dynamic 45-minute exposition that is comprised of 4 different scenarios utilizing 4 different styles of performance presentation. Rhythmically infused with hysterical anecdotes and surprise endings, the female acting duo uses classical clowning, burlesque dancing, slapstick comedy and long-form improvisation to tell the complete stories of an audition, an interrogation, a political act and a daily news event (pulled from that days headlines). To carry the narrative theme of each unique piece, There will be a music score and short scenes projected on the walls, providing the audience with anticipation and emotional highs and lows. Paying homage to the silent films of the 1920s, there will be minimal spoken dialog throughout the entire piece. There will ultimately be something for everyone in this performance exhibition.
